Lloydminster and area residents will notice more changes at the Lloydminster Hospital starting this week as construction in the facility progresses.
The new emergency registration and switchboard services department, triage area, and two emergency department exam rooms will open by November 16. A new doctors' alcove, charting area, and emergency department manager's office are also ready for use.
Starting Tuesday, November 15, the hospital's main hallway will be closed for about two weeks as the finishing work in that area is completed. Hospital services will not be interrupted, but patients and visitors will need to use periphery hallways to get to their destinations within the hospital.
Visitors and patients should follow the directional signage posted. Volunteers will also be on hand to provide directions.
This work will complete the fourth of seven phases in the project. Construction now continues in the emergency department with renovations to the nursing desk and medication room beginning this month.
Prairie North Health Region thanks residents for their patience and understanding during the construction period.
